So, here I am in Rendsburg, and I'm so happy to be here. I have always wanted to learn German, and this is a chance for full immersion. Here I am having a Turkish Doner, with my girlfriend's mother, Anja. Doner is pronounced more like "Der-nah" than "Donor" as it might look like it is spelled. It's delicious, and can be prepared in a number of ways, like a burrito, as a burger, or over fries. Being a Californian, I relate German peoples' love of doner to our love of burritos.
